Warhol Style
Our portraits aim to recreate the look of one of the most influential artists from the 20th Century, Andy Warhol (1928 – 1987). He was the central figure of the pop art movement in America, producing instantly recognisable portraits of celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Chairman Mao, John Lennon and Liz Taylor, to name but a few.
Generally using bold and dramatic colouration, Andy Warhol produced hundreds of these iconic portraits with many containing multiple images of the same subject in radically different colours - a style still very popular today.
Most photographs are well suited for our Warhol style portraits, but nicely focused head and shoulder shots work best. Roll your mouse over the examples on the right to reveal a larger image and the original photo.
When submitting your order, feel free to provide us with your colour, cropping or style preferences - you can refer to our numbered examples if necessary (e.g. ‘wh001’). If you are unsure, place your order and we’ll use our judgement and provide you with some options at the proof stage.
